Setup
- First download the app, then open the dmg file and drag cutenotch to the Applications folder.
- On some Macs, you might be prompted with "cutenotch is damaged and can't be opened."
To undamage cutenotch do the following:- Open the terminal (open spotlight ⌘ + space, and search "terminal")
- Paste
xattr -cr "/Applications/cutenotch.app" - hit enter/return on your keyboard. After that you should be able to open the app.
- On your first time opening the app, enabling accessibility permission is a must.
- Allow CuteNotch to use your preferred Music App, whether it be Apple Music or Spotify so that the media controls will work. When prompted, If you accidentally pressed deny, go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Automation > cutenotch. Allow Spotify or Apple Music.
- Camera (for mirror) and Notification (for pomodoro timer) permission is optional
